Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving fresh maggot in the ration on consumption, egg quality and peak production of mojosari ducks. One of the areas of business that is widely cultivated by the community is animal husbandry. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) method which used 4 treatments and 5 replications, each treatment filled with 3 ducks. In this research feed ration using BSF maggot with different feeding in each treatment (T0: 100% of prepared feed, T1: 23 grams of fresh maggot + 100% of prepared feed, T2: 47 grams of fresh maggot + 100% of prepared feed, T3: 78 grams of maggot fresh + 100% ready-made feed) This research was conducted for 47 days and the first 10 days was the adaptation period of livestock with adlibitum feeding treatment. The data collection was carried out on a fresh day, 1 week in the storage period and 2 weeks in the storage period in each treatment and replication. From the results of the study, it was found that there was no significant effect (P>0.05) on each research parameter, but the quality of daily egg production and egg quality was very good and high compared to previous studies
