MANUSCRIPTS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE FOLLOWING METHODS:

The manuscript has never been published or is in process elsewhere. Submission of manuscripts through the Online Submission System on the E-Journal Tropical Animal Science portal (http://ejournal.uby.ac.id/index.php/tas)

First, the Author registers as an Author (checks the role as Author) in the "Register" section or the address: http://ejournal.uby.ac.id/index.php/tas/user/register

After the Author logs in as an Author, click on "New Submission". The stages of submitting an article consist of 5 stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation

In the Start section, select the Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.

In the Upload Submission section, please upload the article manuscript file in MS Word in this section.

In the Enter Metadata section, enter the data of all Authors and their affiliations, followed by the title and abstract, and indexing keywords.

In the Upload Supplementary Files section, you are allowed to upload the FORM TAS-A file, supporting data or cover letter or other documents.

In the Confirmation section, please click "Finish Submission" if all data is correct.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Tropical Animal Science aims to disseminate information and research results in the field of animal science covering breeding, genetics, feed, nutrition, reproduction, production, biotechnology, physiology, management, socio-economics, livestock product technology, microbiology, and other topics related to animal science.

The editors accept articles/scientific works that have never been published and are not in the process of being published elsewhere. After the article is accepted, the author will be asked to agree to the article copyright statement (the statement can be downloaded on the Tropical Animal Science website)

Tropical Animal Science is published periodically twice a year in May and November

The journal upholds a strict policy against any form of unethical practices, including duplication or plagiarism. Plagiarism is identified when significant portions of a manuscript are taken from previously published works without proper attribution. All submissions to Tropical Animal Science undergo plagiarism screening using the Turnitin software.

Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content during the initial submission process will be immediately rejected.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

Language and Title

Manuscripts can be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia, using formal academic language.

The title must be concise, clear, and reflect the main idea of the article.

If the manuscript is written in Indonesian, the English title must also be provided, and vice versa.

 Author Identity

Author names should be written without academic titles.

Include complete affiliations (study program, faculty, university, city, country).

The corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*) and include an active email address.

Abstract and Keywords

Abstracts must be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, not exceeding 300 words each.

The abstract should summarize the objective, scope, methodology, main results, and conclusion.

Do not include references, figures, or tables in the abstract.

Keywords should be written in italic, with a minimum of three terms, separated by commas.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should follow the structure below:

Introduction

Contains the research background, problem formulation, objective(s), and a brief review of relevant literature without using subheadings.

Materials and Methods

Describe all materials, tools, biological procedures, measurement techniques, and statistical methods. Mention the origin of feeds, animal characteristics (breed, sex, age, weight), equipment, chemical reagents, and their manufacturers including location.

Results and Discussion

Must be presented together. Use tables, figures, graphs, or photos to summarize findings. Avoid repeating all data from tables in the text. The discussion should explain findings clearly and relate them to relevant previous studies.

Tables should be numbered (1, 2, 3…) with titles centered above the table. Use Insert Caption in MS Word.

Figures (photos, diagrams, graphs) must also be numbered and include captions below the image. Images must be of high quality.

All tables and figures must be referred to in the text and should not stand alone.

Conclusion

Written in paragraph form, not bullet points. It must answer the research objectives logically and concisely based on the data.

Acknowledgements

Optional. Express gratitude to individuals or institutions that supported the research or provided funding.

References

References must be arranged alphabetically by the first author’s last name.

Use a consistent format for different types of sources (journal articles, books, theses, proceedings, online documents) as exemplified in the journal template.

In-text citations:

Examples: Remus (2001) or (Remus, 2001);
Hassan et al. (2005) or (Hassan et al., 2005)

If more than one work from the same author and year is cited, label them a, b, c, etc.
Example: (Honarbakhsh et al., 2007a), (2007b), (2007c)

Formatting Requirements

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

Paper size: A4

Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

Font: Palatino Linotype, 10,5 pt

Line spacing: 1

Page numbers: bottom right, added automatically

 

Additional Notes

The submitted manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

All submissions will be subject to a double-blind peer review process.
