Abstract

Early childhood (PAUD) is a group that is very vulnerable to the impact of disasters, both in terms of physical, psychological, and social. Disaster mitigation training and simulations designed specifically for early childhood should be tailored to their developmental characteristics. Children at an early age tend to learn through play, visualization, and direct experience, so a fun and interactive approach is very effective. The method of approach in the implementation of natural disaster management in early childhood, namely 4-5 years of age and carried out in kindergartens using lecture and practice methods through training and demonstration of natural disaster management. Disaster mitigation in early childhood is a very important step to reduce the impact of disasters on this vulnerable group. With the right approach, including age-appropriate disaster education, development of emotional resilience, and empowerment of families and communities-children can be better prepared for disasters and recover more quickly from their impact.
