Sosialisasi Teknik Operasional Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) di Kabupaten Klaten

Abstract

One of the domestic wastes is sewage sludge. Sludge is processed at the Sludge Treatment Plant (IPLT). The IPLT was built with the aim of protecting the environment from pollution due to the direct disposal of feces into receiving water bodies or local land. One of the obstacles in the operation of IPLT is human resources, so it is necessary to increase the capacity of IPLT operators. The purpose of implementing this community empowerment is to increase institutional capacity to improve IPLT performance. The form of capacity building is to socialize the operational techniques of the IPLT processing unit. The socialization is held in September 2020. The method of activity is material presentation and focus group discussion. Indicators of the success of this activity are IPLT processing based on standard operating procedures and monitoring of IPLT so that operations can be optimized and IPLT capacity can be used optimally to increase income.
