Sosialisasi Pencegahan Pernikahan Dini dan Pentingnya Pendidikan Lanjutan Bagi Remaja di SMK Negeri 1 Selo

Early marriage remains a significant social issue in Indonesia, particularly among adolescents in rural areas, where awareness of its long-term impact is still limited. This community service project aimed to increase students’ understanding of the risks of early marriage and the importance of pursuing higher education. The activity was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Selo using a participatory-educational approach tailored to the characteristics of vocational high school students. The methods involved interactive presentations through PowerPoint, the screening of educational videos, and a game titled “Teka Teko Menurut Putaran Jam,” designed to stimulate critical thinking and knowledge retention in a fun and engaging way. Observations during the activity showed that students were highly enthusiastic and actively engaged throughout the sessions. They responded positively to the materials, asked relevant questions, and participated fully in the discussion and games. Feedback collected at the end of the activity indicated that most students gained a better understanding of the negative consequences of early marriage and felt more motivated to continue their education. The results of this program suggest that the integration of visual, interactive, and participatory learning methods is effective in delivering social messages to teenagers. The initiative is expected to contribute to the formation of more thoughtful and responsible attitudes among adolescents. Future efforts should involve collaboration between schools, parents, and stakeholders to ensure that such educational interventions have sustainable impact.
