Abstract

The achievement of SPM Sub-Affairs Fire is an indicator of the quality of firefighting services. The better the achievement of SPM Sub-Affairs Fire, the better the quality of firefighting services. The indicator that represents fire prevention and handling is response time. The basic service quality of the response time of the Fire Department is 15 minutes after receiving information about a fire. This paper aims to compile recommendations for policy stages that can be implemented by the Boyolali Regency government to support improvements in the quality of firefighting services. The research method used is a quantitative method with an alternative policy questionnaire using a Likert scale. The results of the research on improvements in the quality of firefighting services are assessed by the achievement of the firefighting response time. Firefighting response time is highly dependent on several aspects, including the distribution of fire stations, the availability of firefighting human resources and infrastructure, and the active role of the community. Basically, a study of these four aspects can be carried out by developing a RISPK (Master Plan for Fire Protection Systems). The RISPK is formulated as a guideline for handling fire-related issues over the next 10 years and can be reviewed as necessary. Recommendations for achieving SPM in the sub-sector of firefighting to improve the quality of firefighting services in Boyolali Regency can be implemented in the following stages: (1) Formulating a Regent Regulation on RISPK as the basis for fire prevention and control management; (3) Synchronize the RISPK with the Strategic Plan (Renstra) and Work Plan (Renja) to ensure that planning documents are prepared in accordance with the RISPK; (4) Synchronize the Regional Budget (APBD) with the Regional Work Plan (Renja) to ensure funding for the achievement of the SPM for firefighting.
